        Now a day’s social networking websites are very popular among the students. Students are spending much time on social networking sites. So, it is a big question to parents and teachers that what the role of social networking websites in education is.
         There are a lot of social networking websites providing a great platform for sharing online educational contents. A proper and skilled use makes social networking websites very useful tool in education.

      आजकल इंटरनेट का हर जगह बोलबाला है- छोटे छोटे बच्चे भी आजकल इन्टरनेट पर फेसबुक और दूसरी कई सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स पर ऑनलाइन दोस्तों के साथ घंटों बातें करते हुए देखे जा सकते है-

   कई बार तो ऐसा लगता है कि सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स पढ़ाई लिखाई में एक बहुत बड़ा अवरोध बन गयी हैं- परन्तु जिस तरह सिक्के के दो पहलु होते हैं उसी प्रकार सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स का एक बहुत ही सकारात्मक पहलू भी है-


   इन्टरनेट पर अपने विचारों को व्यक्त करने और दूसरों के विचारों को जानने के लिए सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स का विकास और विस्तार हुआ है ॰ समय के साथ सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स ने जीवन के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अच्छी खासी घुसपैठ की है-  

    एक दिन मैंने एक प्रोफेसर साहब की फेसबुक प्रोफाइल देखी तो दंग रह गया. उनकी फेसबुक में उच्च शिक्षा के कई कठिन विषयों के बारे में समझने के लिए यूटुयुब की ढेर सारी लिंकें दी थी.  वास्तव में वह फेसबुक प्रोफाइल सम्बंधित विषय का अध्ययन करने वाले विद्यार्थियों के लिए बहुत ही उपयोगी थी.


सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स और शिक्षा 


 यह तो एक उदाहरण मात्र था. आज  इंटरनेट पर ढेर सारी सोशल नेटवर्किंग साइट्स उपलब्ध हैं जो शैक्षिक विषयों के बारे में ज्ञान का आदान-प्रदान करने के लिए बहुत अच्छा मंच उपलब्ध कराती हैं. गूगल जैसी शक्तिशाली वेबसाइट का महत्व किसी से छिपा नहीं है.
